Ashram Chapter 3 Plot

Following the heels of Ashram 1, we see how Baba Nirala (Bobby Deol) becomes ruthless in his attempt to gain power. He relies on the corrupt politicians to cover his hide, all the while preying on innocent women who seek deliverance.

Being a conman he is quite talented in hiding his true intentions from the public and wears a mask of pretense before his devotees. Ujagar Singh, a cop, directs himself towards capturing Baba Nirala who doesn’t seem at all like the person he is supposed to be. The skeletons and dead bodies on the Ashram property further act as a catalyst that adds to the story.

The question remains whether the cop will unearth the Baba’s crimes or not. The lapse of faith of some devotees in him adds to the unraveling of the mystery, with several others seeking revenge.

Fans are expecting Season 3 to be the climax with Baba getting exposed. Yet it remains unclear whether Ashram Chapter 3 would be the last or the makers will continue to expose the sinister designs!

Is Ashram a real life story?

The makers claim that the Ashram is pure fiction and any resemblance with real-life characters is coincidental. However, the plot appears to have picked up from the true-life narratives of a few self-proclaimed Godmen in India. For instance Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh cult head of the Dera Sacha Sauda who has been convicted of rape and murder in 2017. Fans are drawing comparisons of Baba Nirala with Gurmeet due to the music concerts and connection with the youth he enjoys. Many believe that the story of the Aashram series is an expose on rise and fall of Baba.

There are many others who were made celebrities by their followers and had a chequered background similar to the one in the Ashram series. The famous ones include rape-accused Nithyananda, Asaram Bapu, Swami Vikasanand, Swami Bhimanand. They all have a history of loot, rape, hoarding, political patronage.
